Cold weather brings out the bright winter color stems and shiny floral buds of willow growing in the field. Months have passed since the hard spring and summer work of field establishment full of tilling, fencing, mowing, weeding and tending. Heavy spring and summer rains that were excessive for flowering annuals plants meant perfect conditions for willow establishment. Now, it is time to enjoy the view.
